To Whom it May Concern:
Adam Smith once said, "It has long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment
rarely sat back and let things happen to them, they went out and happened to things." If Lori
Warren happens to a family seeking college advice, that family is indeed fortunate. Lori is an
exceptional human being whose experience will benefit any family in search of the best
college at the optimal price. She performs her services with integrity, empathy, savior faire,
and professionalism.
Our family first learned of Lori Warren over a year ago through an advertisement in the
newspaper. Following our meeting with Lori two weeks later, we were convinced she could
help our son locate a high-caliber college combined with the best possible financial package.
Since that time, Lori has been overwhelmingly reliable and accountable, consistently attentive
and responsive to our son's needs. She has maintained constant communication with us via
email, phone, and personal meetings. Reachable day or night, she always seems to be "on
top" of our son's college pursuit status. Results-oriented, she is ready to provide answers or
do research for us at a moment's notice. One would think that our family has been her only
client, based on the abundant amount of time and attention she has afforded us. Lori has
never let us down.
Our son, who is currently applying to 18 colleges, has significantly benefited from Lori's
expertise in career guidance, interview training, resume and essay writing. She is never short
on application tips or behind in keeping him on track regarding dates and deadlines. As
parents, we were particularly relieved when Lori said she would handle all FAFSA and CSS
PROFILE drafting and delivery.
In essence, Lori Warren is an education specialist whom I would strongly recommend to any
parent beginning the long road leading to college placement. Her talents, work ethic,
interpersonal skills and knowledge combine to make her an exemplary college consultant.
Six years ago we went through the college search process for our daughter, without the aid of
a consultant. Had we known about Lori and enlisted her services, our task would have been
unquestionably less expensive and far less daunting.
We have been extremely impressed and grateful for all the vital and exceptional services she
has provided our family. We feel very fortunate Lori Warren happened to the Frank Family.

I wanted to thank you for the help you were to us in a time that was stressful and confusing.
When faced with the decision of helping a child decide what to do for college there can be a lot
of different options. How do you go about getting the most mileage out of a situation that is
going to prepare your child for the rest of his or her life? You answered a lot of questions and
did all the work I did not know how to do. You tell it the way it is so we had a clearer picture of
what we needed to do. Financing a child's education can be very overwhelming. It is good to
have an organization to go to for help that knows all the ins and outs of what is available
financially. I knew Logan would be playing basketball somewhere. It was great to get the
security of knowing he would not only have four years paid for, but five. Coming from Idaho as
a basketball player (it) can sometimes be hard to get looked at. You helped me know how to
put together his attributes and to present them to the colleges in a professional way. You
were the go between and the sounding board.
Thank you for everything!

To Whom it may concern:
The following is a letter of recommendation for Lori Warren and Smith - Warren & Associates
My wife Teri and I first met Lori Warren in late spring of 2002. It was clear from our earliest
discussions with Lori that we were anywhere from a year to a year and a half behind in the
search for a school, in the accumulation of information, and the preparation and submittal of
the necessary applications for financial aid for our daughter who was scheduled to graduate
from high school in 2003.
To make a long story short, with Lori and her staff's help and guidance, we were able to
navigate through the myriad of requirements of the individual schools and the federal
government. We not only met all of the deadlines, but were able to secure several attractive
academic scholarships.
In the preceding months, we had just reached the point where our daughter had narrowed the
list to two schools and was preparing to make her final selection and complete registration for
the first semester when it became apparent that she would be unable, due to health
concerns, attend college for the 2003 academic year.
Lori immediately started a dialog with the two remaining schools and was able to obtain a
year's deferment without loss of value for both scholarships. Thoroughness, patience,
confidence and trust come to mind in reflection on Lori and her staff's help, guidance and
performance during this hectic period.
Lori and her staff have our unqualified recommendation.
Sincerely,
Kirby & Teri Dawson

It is with pleasure that I write this letter on behalf of Lori Warren. With well over 1000 students
attending my son's high school and three guidance counselors, it is not hard to figure out
what type of college counseling is available given the daily problems the school's counselors
have to deal with. We wanted the best information available for our son's college and future.
We had an initial consultation with Lori and were very impressed with the services she
offered. We started working with Lori in our son's Junior year of high school, although we
would recommend the Sophomore year. With the advice we received on a monthly basis and
his individual counseling sessions, our son was able to do the necessary things to build an
excellent college resume. With this advice, he was accepted to every college that he applied
to - including three highly ranked private colleges. Not only was he accepted at these private
colleges, he was offered some very good financial aid packages. Because of the advice from
Lori Warren, our son will be attending a highly rated private college instead of a local state
college, which will give him a definite advantage in his future. I believe that students need any
advantage they can get in the competitive world and Lori definitely gave us the edge we
needed. I would recommend her services to any parent that is concerned for their child's
future.

When I enter Lori's offices, I am in a friendly, warm place where I can ask as many questions
as I want - and I'm not talking to a "machine". Lori makes getting into college and deciding
where you want to go fast, efficient, and fun. I really recommend her to any person who is
planning on attending college. I am really grateful to her for all her help!
